in Saint-Petersburg

Some words about myself

My name is Nikolai. I was born in Archangel in the North of Russia. I moved to St Petersburg to receive my formal education at a military college. As a result I became the commander of platoon in Belaurs for 2.5 years during the Soviert era. After the collapse of the Soviert Union I returned to St Petersburg and civilian life.
Now I am a tour guide in summer and a graphic designer in winter and if you visit our wodnerful City I will be your best friend in St Petersburg. My interests include the history of Russia and St Peterburg, the English language and web design.

More about me and my life see in my photoalbum.

Kazan Cathedral

is a majestic example of St. Petersburg Classicism. The main body of the cathedral is decorated with a grand colonnade of 96 Corinthian columns. Voronikhinís design was inspired by Berniniís colonnade for St. Peterís in Rome. The cathedral is named after the miracle-working icon of the Mother of God of Kazan. More about Kazan Cathedral...
